Zaner's Aquarius Constellation
November 13, 2021
Hello and Happy Saturday! I am organizing all of Zane's mementos today, getting things on walls and finding a display place for these lovely items left behind by those who love Zane and reminded them of their time together.
Today I want to feature this hand-painted memento left behind by Jorie Parsons. She painted Aquarius (and the Sk8terZ Freeway to the Stars!), Zane's constellation as his birthday is February 18th. Aquarius is Latin for “water-carrier” or “cup-carrier" so it is commonly known as a water sign. Zane did love the water. He was a beach guy, more than I was for sure.
Aquarius was one of the 48 constellations first listed by the 2nd-century astronomer, Ptolemy. It remains among the 88 modern constellations. The constellation of Aquarius is found in a region often called the Sea – and appears to be pouring water into another water constellation, Pisces.
Aquarius is home to 4 meteor showers which occur throughout the year, the most prolific of which is the Delta Aquarid Meteor shower (July 14 to August 18) which produce around 20 meteors per hour at its peak.
So, there you have it. When you look to the stars at night, look for Aquarius and think of the Zaner and we can all look forward to him tossing stars at us starting in mid-July. #CloudSkaterZaner #ShootingStarZaner
Thank you, Jorie!!!! xoxox
