Trip to the GI Doc

Howdy dudes and dudettes! Greetings from Camp Zaner! Today, Zane went on a bit of a journey. We took him for a GI update, a look at his feeding tube and a meeting of some new minds with a care team that will help to work through the obstacles I've faced on my own to get Zane the best care he deserves.

I have to thank childhood friend Mimi Preston for her help in getting this set up at her office and working to get the proper staff on her team to see Zane. Many things were discussed and a plan of action has been hatched to further the best care for Zane. Thanks, Mimi! She sat in on the consultations and was crucial in getting my needs conveyed from the standpoint from where her office in particular can help.

Zane did great on the transportation and I'm one proud momma that he can travel so easily! Gives me confidence that moving him in and out of his new chair will go well.

And FINALLY, we should have some news on the brain MRI Zane had in December. Long story short, it has been lost in transit to St. Jude since 12/29, but it FINALLY arrived there today. Zane's neuro oncologist has been checking in with me daily on the tracking, so I think he will jump on its review quickly. Stay tuned! Pray for NED!
