Sherri Joins St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Team!

Hello Friends!
I've been holding back on some intel until it was OFFICIAL and now it is!
I can now announce that I have taken on an Adviser Role with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in the Patient Family-Centered Care division. This isn't my official badge...that's coming in the mail, but this is my mug (ahem..) headshot!
Upon my recent trip to St. Jude in October, I decided that it was "time" for me to honor Zane's life and legacy by helping others who are walking in the shoes we once wore.
My role is super part-time and will mostly be virtual from my home in Orlando, but will be crucial to steering committees making decisions on patients and their families going through life with or dying from childhood cancer. My specific job duties will be defined once I start attending meetings on two initial councils: Comprehensive Cancer Center & Patient Education.
In the Spring, I will become very involved in the newly developing Quality of Life Division as a speaker with Families in Bereavement and travel to Memphis may be in the works more at that time.
I can't think of a better way to honor Zane this week. Christmas week is probably the toughest for me all year. This is one way I can smile through it.
Hug somebody today, people. We all have stories and some are really going through it this week missing someone they loved dearly.
