Strumming our way Back to Health
Good evening from ZanerLand. Today we had a real go at brain stimulation. Zane had his first music therapy session with our friend and neighbor, Fred Hodes, who is a classical guitarist and happens to work in a music therapy capacity. In fact, Fred and his brother established an endowment for music therapy at Orlando Health years back (see article below). Fred is knowledgeable on music and its positive impact on brain injury therapy, with emphasis on sapien brain enhancement and regeneration. We followed their session with a few YouTube sapien brain regeneration videos.
What a blessing to have Fred just across our courtyard! When Zane was well, Fred and Zane had the opportunity to talk about Zane's musical past, so today Fred honed in on some of the music Zane would have learned and played on his violin in Orchestra. We look forward to having Fred visit regularly and Christina Hunting Gant has also offered to pay Zane a music therapy visit with her violin.
I took a little vid clip (posted to FB) and a snap
as Fred was warming up to begin healing Zane through music, strumming our woes into wins. #MakeZaneBetter
