The Good Doctor has Spoken!

Exciting news!!!! I have been waiting a week to share this news while I was clarifying a few things. But I'm now ready to make a GREAT ANNOUNCEMENT.

Zane's neuro oncologist at St. Jude has reviewed Zane's recent brain MRI scan and has reported the following (bits of a few emails surmised below):

"There is no obvious tumor, there is evidence of anoxic brain injury. The imaging shows consequences of the seizures he had. Time and patience will be key in Zane’s recovery – youth is on his side.

The fact that he is more alert on some days is very encouraging. Keep positive and have faith. Zane is very young and I am praying his brain insult will recover. St Jude is about miracles!!"

This means there is NO EVIDENCE OF CANCER at this time! So, Zane has time to work on his recovery and we haven't that to worry with for now. Praise God and Hallelujah!

And, on THAT front, Zane shows us more and more each day he's coming around. He looks my way when I call out his name. He moves his eyes with more purpose it seems. And he moves his fingers, toes and limbs more and more and shows signs of trying to follow commands (squeeze my hand, wiggle your toes, etc.)

And Magellan pretty much has relegated herself to his wellness and is my his side almost always, giving him her healing purrs.

So, I hope you are all smiling reading this. I am smiling typing it. I might even be crying a little with happy tears! #MakeZaneBetter
