Join Us in the Miracle Corner
Hello Zane Supporters! It's been a while since I gave a medical update. Honestly, there isn't much "new" to report. Since coming home from the hospital where he had a new feeding tube system procedure, he's been chilling. Some days a little more than I would like. But today, he's wide awake and alert and we are watching Fifty First Dates together while I work on the computer.
The neurologist at Orlando Health never had a lot to say concerning Zane's EEG/MRI results. In fact, he only asked me if I had any questions when he came into Zane's room. I was a little taken aback. I'm sure I do have questions, but wouldn't you like to tell me your findings first so I know WHAT I need to ask? (SMH) He simply said Zane's results show "slow waves consistent with this TBI and that recovery is unlikely" and left the room. Adult hospitals that run on insurance. It's all a big joke. I immediately asked for our discharge. Couldn't believe I stuck around two extra days to have THAT conversation. His words about the lack of recovery haunted me a few days, but I've moved past it. That was one guy's opinion who hasn't much to say anyway. Rejecting that.
So happy to still have St. Jude in Zane's corner. Zane's Neuro Oncologist there will be reviewing the newest MRI images and report this week and we should have his findings this week. He's already written me that at St. Jude, they believe in miracles. So I'm with him. Will you all join me in supporting Zane in the miracle corner? #MakeZaneBetter
