Zane SMILED at his Momma!
Hello from Zaneland. We have 4 million things going on getting ready for the move to the new condo over by the lake (same complex, just getting a downstairs unit to help with moving Zane around), working out the insurance (YES..STILL) and well, just a bunch of stuff!
So we may be a bit slow on updates over the next week(ish). Today, first, I want to thank all of you who've donated to Zane's GoFundMe. I am dreadfully behind in getting proper thank yous out to you all, so please accept this overall public thank you for now. I have ordered a month's supply of things Zane will need and a storage hutch for all his supplies and meds so far. I'd also like to thank the Russell Home for the donation of 6 boxes of feeds for Zane so far. One box feeds Zane for 4 days. What a place! 🥰 Also a special thanks this week to Amber Penna who made some serious kickass lasagna and dropped that off yesterday, surprising me also by bringing Jessica Brown along who had a couple packs of funky socks for Zaner too. He has the wiener
dog ones on now.
Neurologically speaking, Zane seems to be becoming more alert. Not sure if it's the acupuncture sessions Jason Meldrum has provided, but Zane SMILED at me today. When I call his name from across the room, he turns his head and looks at me. Still not talking, but he does make sounds. The downside to his increased awareness is he's also feeling emotions and pain more. My heart breaks when I see him crying or in pain. But at least we can control his pain. I still look at all of this as a win with our Champ Zaner!
Popping this picture up, recently sent to me by Christine Luce VanDyk of her son Jack Van Dyk, Zane Tyson, Parks Reichardt and Ryan Lemon up in North Carolina some years back. One of you guys will have to tell me what you were looking up in the sky at. I hadn't seen this before and I just love it. Christine says she keeps a hard copy in her bible to remind her to not stop praying and believing all things are possible. Thank you, Christine!
