Trying out the Trach Collar

Hey Zaner Fans! He’s been moved to what’s called a “trach collar” just a bit ago which is a step closer to weaning off the ventilator. We gave this is a go yesterday, but he only tolerated it a few minutes. Goal today is a couple hours. Wish him luck!! #MakeZaneBetter

UPDATE: Zane went over an hour. He most likely would have easily gone longer, but we had an unexpected interruption that caused us to pause this trial. It was Nothing about his breathing trial as he was champing through it. We are going to put him on full vent tonight so he can rest up and get ready for a better, uninterrupted trial tomorrow!
