Back to Treatment
So, the Molinas have flown back which means this last wave of visitors are back in Florida. Thanks to Wavey and Marla and Manny for your visits, for bringing us the car and for your fun company! The last group game night has finished and packages are opened for now. Looking forward to the February round of friends and family visits already!
And back to the business of making Zane better. Here's the update. His counts are low (as expected) after Round 2 of Chemo. He did have to have a blood transfusion Thursday evening and it's likely he will have a platelet transfusion tomorrow. We have the day off today and we are spending it relaxing (me laundry, paying bills and cleaning). Since his counts are low, we will lay low and stay in this week, other than hospital appointments.
Next week will be another round of diagnostic testing week. We will see if these two rounds of chemo eliminated the concern of the spread into the pelvic area, or if we will go back to the plan of radiation first, then chemo.
So not much more to report until after the counts go back up and the next round of scans are performed. Until we have those results, please keep Zane in your thoughts and remember, let's #MakeZaneBetter!
